Happy Sunday All. Hope you are having a good weekend.
After a few weeks off, I am joining back up with Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer to share my weekly happenings. This has been a bit of an odd week as I had just over two weeks off work and so spent most of it trying to get back into the swing of things. I also spent a lot of it unpacking moving boxes and moving things around our new house. I get the feeling I may never be done and just don’t know how three people have accumulated so much stuff.
Whilst I was on holiday, I did very little involving the Internet and it was nice to take a break. I did get lots of reading done though, including two books I reviewed last week…
How I Lost You by Jenny Blackhurst, a great debut about a woman who is convinced she killed her baby son, even though she can’t remember the day it happened, until a photo of a little boy turns up on her doorstep.
Taunting the Dead by Mel Sherratt, who I’ve been meaning to read for quite a while and am now kicking myself for not reading sooner as this was a cracking piece of crime writing.
I also read A Mother’s Story by Amanda Prowse and Freedom’s Child by Jax Miller and should get to reviews of these this week.
Along the way, I added a few books to my to read pile, including…
The Ice Twins by S. K. Tremayne (via Rebecca Bradley)
A Game for All the Family by Sophie Hannah (via Debbish.com)
The Game Changer by Louise Phillips (via Cleopatra Loves Books)
And a few books to my bookshelves after a quick trip to a used book store we passed on our travels.
These aren’t my usual type of books but I think I need another break from the murder and mayhem I tend to gravitate to. What about you? What are you reading this week?

This week, I’m linking in with Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and her Sunday Post. Head over to see what other bloggers have read, written about or just added to their shelves.
I’ve read a couple on your new list (Game for All of the Family and The Ice Twins). I hope you enjoy them both!

I hope so too. I know you weren’t keen on the end of the Sophie Hannah but I still think the rest sounded worth a read.

Moving out and in is such hard work, but it’s also exciting to start in a new place 🙂 I’ve added Taunting the dead to my to-read list. Have a great week-end !

Hope you enjoy Taunting the Dead as much as I did. I can’t wait to get cracking on the next book in the series. Moving is a pain I have to say – it’s been 8 years in our last house and I’d forgotten how long it takes to get sorted. Still worth it. I just want all the boxes empty! Thanks for stopping by. Emma

I don’t know a lot about them but the names of the authors jumped out at me for two and the title for the other. With used books I don’t think you can go wrong taking a chance and I do need a change of pace.

I have heard good things about it. I am not sure I’ve ever read any Jo Jo Moyes.

The Girl You Left Behind and The Paris Wife are both on my TBR. I switch genres around a pretty good bit. I’ve found it keeps me from getting in a rut. I have sworn I am never moving again. I’m not sure which I dislike more – packing or unpacking! Have a great week!

unpacking was definitely worse because I realised I hadn’t gotten rid of anywhere near as much as I planned too – I am a bit of a pack rat. Now I have a garage and not just a loft it will probably get worse! I really should switch genres more than I do. I think with holidays and other times when I’m busy I just know I can trust crime fiction to keep me going

I read Middlesex years ago – an intriguing novel that I liked.

I am hoping it’s good. I did flick through the first few pages and think it’s going to take a little more brain power than I might have at the moment though.

Thanks – I’m sure they will bit by bit. I can see why they say moving is one of the most stressful things you do. That an expensive (though that might just be me and my desire to fill my new rooms with new knick knacks!).
